August Pika-kai: Spirit of Japan

We greatly enjoyed some delicious food and company at the Spirit of Japan festival at Sakura Square in August! Vendors from California graced the square with a plethora of delicious smells! Food served included a variety of traditional Japanese street foods like karaage, takoyaki, castella cake, kaki goori and more. We also enjoyed tasting different kinds of sake from sake breweries across the United States. We even had some JET Alumni volunteer at the booths! This event was incredibly well attended (with even Governor Polis attending!)  and a great testament to the interest in Japanese food culture in Colorado.
