Join Us for Sempai Q&A Happy Hour

Q&A Happy Hour at Breck on Blake

JET Sempais – Come join this year’s Q&A Happy Hour at Breck on Blake (Blake St. and 22nd) in Downtown Denver! Meet this year’s crop of new JETs and help them start off on the right foot by sharing your advice and tips. After a Consulate-hosted info session we will head over to the bar for a second round of more casual advice and conversation. Help them by joining in a relaxed and positive environment that will get them even more excited for the adventure to come!

Attire will be business casual (since the newbies have to dress up).
Beer, non-alcoholic drinks, and food will be subsidized – we ask for $10 from Alumni to help cover costs.

Please RSVP to: vicepresident@jetaarockymountain.org

Thanks and can’t wait to see you there!

May Third* Sunday – Monthly Networking Happy Hour at Akihabara Arcade

Date: Sunday, May 21 @ Akihabara Arcade & Bar 8901 S. Harlan St.

May’s Networking Nomikai is dedicated to the Otaku in all of us. So we will be checking out Akihabara (!) in Wesminister. Note that we are meeting up on the THIRD sunday of the month so that we aren’t in conflict with mother’s day.

There will also be a board meeting from 12-2 before the Nomikai to talk about the Q&A session and the Predeparture Session for the 2017 JETs. Want to be involved in seeing them off? Come and help out 🙂

February Second Sunday and Board Positions Meeting

Date: Sunday, Feb 12th @ The District – 1320 E. 17th Ave, Denver

Hey all, this month’s Second Sunday is at The District on 17th Ave in Denver, close to Park Avenue. The District does a fierce brunch and has awesome drinks as well as non-alcoholic options. Parking is street parking but there are no meters and spaces can usually be found close by. Come join us for the socializing or…

This month’s meeting also doubles as an interest session for anyone considering running for a board position. If you think you might be interested and want to see what is involved, please come talk with us – we would love to grow our community and have more people regularly involved! Only President and Secretary need to be former JET Program participants.

Platforms need to be submitted this month for voting at the March General Meeting, and we are happy to help you prepare.

As always, we encourage recently returned JETs to feel free to bring any job announcments, cover letters, or resumes you’d like to have checked over, or just come to network.

See you there!
