As you may know, Taylor Anderson was on the JET program teaching children English when she lost her life in the great tsunami / earthquake of Japan on March 11, 2011. The film Live Your Dream is a story about Taylor Anderson and all the young people who travel the world trying to make a difference.

JET-RMJETAA Info Exchange/Happy Hour

Hey everyone! Fancy a drink? Feel like sharing funny Japan stories and dispensing sage advice for the newest group of JETs? Then join us for the RMJETAA Information Exchange (previously know as the post Q&A Happy Hour) THIS weekend!

Place: Wynkoop Brewery, 1634 18th St, Denver, CO 80202 (2nd Floor near the pool tables)
Date/ Time: Saturday, June 7th, 5:30-7:30 pm

A nice assortment of beer and appetizers will be provided for those who attend! This event directly follows an information session for departing JETs, so it is the perfect opportunity when newbies and alumni alike can gather together in the time-honored tradition of 飲みュニケーション . This is a really fun event, so we’d love to see you there!

RMJETAA Hiking Club – May 10th

This week the RMJETAA will be hiking from Chautaqua Park in Boulder. Both hikes set off at 9am, Saturday, May 10th.

Tree liners (leisurely hike)
1st Flatiron from Chautaqua Park – 2.9 miles, 1440 gain

Summiters (more challenging hike)
Green Mountain from Chautaqua Park – 6.5 miles, 2705 gain
